BIBA -Rockstar Designer Collection

BIBA , the ethnic Indian apparel brand had approched me to review their latest autumn -winter 2013 collection. This weekend I headed to DLF promonade , a swanky mall in south delhi for the review, I had been so looking forward to. Why was I looking forward to it? hmm..

I did a little study and found out that the brand was founded by Meena Bindra way back in 1986.Today house of BIBA has 124 stores across the country. Isn't that an incredible journey. The brand offers traditional Indian attire-Salwar Kameez in various silhouettes alongwith dhupattas, tunics, leggigs, seprates, kurtis, tops, skirts and  jacket for women and kids(girls)

The latest in stores in their AW13 collection. What will impress you and really want you to go for it is their ROCKSTAR collection. It has the attitude it has been inspired from. It has salwar kameez in black as the base with prints in red, blue and white. The highlight is the calligraphic print on the sleeves , border and back. In the collection they have teamed suits with different kinds of jackets something that I have not seen before anywhere else. The jackets are such that you can easily wear them seprately with dresses and over jeans. Priced at Rs-1099-4299 approx.

Second is ROHIT BAL's collection for BIBA with AW13 collection.I need not write about the iconic designer,do I? Rohit Bal's collection is again pretty impressive. Not to heavily embillished or sheer for only models or actresses to carry. The line has long anarkali wide flared suits in bright festive colors, with subtle golden colour Indian motif prints. The cuts are perfect for the average (I mean who eat three times a day and look rightly nourished :) ) Indian female body shape. This luxury I think is at a very reasonable price range-Rs.10000-20000 only. That's a dream come true , isnt it? for all those women who only secretly wished to have a designer wear as part of their wardrobe. Here's your chance to grab one!
